4 JURISISDICTION The meeting will be held under the National Sporting Code and Motocross Standing Regulations of the A.C.U. 2026 edition, these Supplementary Regulations and any further Instructions Issued or Official Announcements made.

6 ELIGIBILITY
A. Riders holding a current ACU or SACU licence and members of the Mid Sussex club. Visitors welcome. Day licences are available via the online booking in system.

8 ENTRIES
Entries to be made via GoRace online and before the deadline as stated . The club reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving a reason. The entry fee for members is :
Auto - £40, 65s - £45, SW/BW - £50, Youth 125 & Open - £55 & Adult Open, Clubman Vets Over 35’s & Vets Over 50’s - £60. Entry fees will increase by £5 on the Monday night prior to a race meeting. ACU Day licences can be purchased on the day system @ £15 per day licence. All entrants must show their ACU licence when signing on. Strictly no refund once a bike has been out on the track for practice. Having entered the event if you become a non starter you must explain your absence to the club (via email at [email protected]) with reasons to be considered by the club committee, No later than Friday 6pm - close of entries. ALL/ANY refunds will be subject to a £5 administration fee by Mid Sussex MCC. Groups will be colour coded with wrist bands.
9 INSURANCE
The insurance cover for this event will be Premier. Please see 2026 ACU handbook for full cover.
10 TECHNICAL CONTROL
Scrutineering will take place at the sign on desk. Body armour and crash helmets body armour and crash helmet. Please make sure your bike is race worthy so you don’t miss your riding slot. No competitor will be permitted to practice or race unless the Technical Official has passed helmet (which needs a gold ACU sticker) and machine. Rider numbers must be clearly displayed on ALL three number boards. All visiting riders will ride with a three digit number.
11 SOUND CONTROL
As per 2026 ACU handbook, sound tests may be carried out during the meeting.
12 SIGNING ON & PRACTICE
The signing on desk will open from Saturday night from 6pm until 7 pm and again 7.30 am until 9.15am, gates will close at 10pm. Practice will start at 10am and will consist of 2 laps per group. All riders must complete at least 1 lap of practice. Practice starts will not be permitted.
13 RACES
The Number of races will be 21 and classes will be : Autos, 65s, SW85, BW85, Youth Open/Youth 125’s, Adult Open, Clubman, Vets 35+ and 50+
14 PROGRAMME
Practice – 2 laps Races – 3 blocks. Race order will be available on the day at the signing on desk Programme subject to change by the Clerk of the Course
15 METHOD OF START
The start will be live engine, clutch type controlled by a drop down gate, which will be used in conjunction with 15/5 second board. Once a rider has taken his position at the start gate, he cannot change it. A rider is deemed to be under starters orders having been called to the start line, by being released from the pegging area, from which moment the riders are under control of the Chief Starter. When all the riders are on the start line, the starter will hold up a 15 second board for a full 15 seconds. At the end of the 15 seconds, he will hold up a 5 seconds board and the gate will drop between 5 and 10 seconds after the 5 second Board is shown. No one except RIDERS and OFFICIALS shall be permitted to the area of the starting gate. Riders are allowed to groom the area behind the start gate only, provided no tools are used or outside assistance provided. With the exception of Autos/65s where parents may be permitted to steady the rear of the machine immediately prior to the start.
16 FINISH OF RACE
Riders must complete at least 50% of the distance of the winner and pass the chequered flag to be classed as a finisher.
17 STOPPING A RACE
If a race is stopped after 3 laps and before 50% of the race has been completed it may be re-run at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course. If a race is stopped after 50% of the race time has elapsed the result will be declared on the last completed lap. In the event of the race being re-run the Clerk of the Course may disqualify any rider(s) who are deemed the primary cause of the race being initially stopped.
18 FLAG SIGNALS – As per the 2026 ACU Handbook.
Please know your flags and responses prior to taking part.
Take note of the following rule regarding YELLOW flag signals
NATIONAL FLAG - This flag can be used for starting a race.
GREEN – Riders under starter’s orders.
YELLOW STATIONARY – Danger, take care, ride with caution.
YELLOW WAVED - Great Danger, Prepare to stop, No overtaking. A significant reduction of speed must be seen, therefore jumps should not be attempted.
RED flag – All Riders must stop. Riders must not pass any red flag unless authorised or directed to do so and then proceed at a slow pace.
BLACK with riders number clearly shown on board -That rider to stop racing immediately and leave the track.
BLUE – Warning you are about to be lapped.
YELLOW with black cross through it – Last Lap./(either or) a two lap and then one lap board, clearly marked.
CHEQUERED – Finish
WHITE with RED diagonal cross RAISED and MOTIONLESS – medical attention required at that post.
White with RED diagonal cross WAIVED (Marshals are only advised to wave their flags when riders are stopped on the course in a dangerous position and being attended to by officials or medical staff) – Medical Crew & Officials in attendance on live racetrack. Proceed with extreme caution, riders must significantly reduce speed and roll each jump individually with no overtaking until past the area of concern.
Blatant disregard of the flag signals may result in the rider being penalised or disqualified.

20. FUEL
All fuel used during an event must comply with 2026 ACU Fuel Regulations
21. PADDOCK
Camping for the meeting will be allowed from 4pm Saturday 28th March 2026. Generators off at 10.30pm and silence in the paddock will commence at 11pm until 7.00am
22. AMENDMENTS
It is the riders responsibility to regularly check the Club Facebook (Mid Sussex Motocross Club) Group for any unforeseeable changes before the event.
23. TROPHIES.
Trophies will be awarded as follows
Top 15 Auto - 16th and below receive medals.
Trophies to top 10 in the Juniors.
Trophies to top 6 in SW 85’s, BW 85’s
and the top 3 in the Youth Open and 125 Groups.
24. TEAR OFFS
Will be allowed at this race meeting.
25. ELECTRONIC TIMING
Electronic Transponders are used for scoring race positions and are required for all meetings. No transponder – no ride. If you don’t own a transponder one can be hired at a cost of £10 with a £20 refundable deposit on return of the transponder at the end of the day. Transponder cradles available at £7 each. Non returnable. Possible increase TBC
26. MOTORISED VEHICLES
Only Officials signed on for the meeting will be allowed to ride motorised vehicles in the paddock. The riding in the paddock of any pit bikes, mini bikes or electric bikes is NOT allowed. Where signs indicate riders must dismount from their bikes and walk. No riding in the paddock. Electric wheelchairs should be operated at walking pace and should not at any time exceed 30mph.
27. CANCELLATION OF MEETING
In the event that a meeting is cancelled there will be admin fees deducted for all riders prior to any refund payments being made.
28. VARIOUS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
ALL rubbish and waste should be taken home with you. Please check around/under your van for any rubbish and dispose of or take home, please do not leave rubbish by your van for us to take home in our vans. Anyone leaving bags of rubbish will be dealt.
The fitting of additional Sprocket Guards is rider/parent discretion other than that stipulated in the ACU handbook. ACU handbook amendment. It is compulsory that all riders/passengers wear as a minimum, back and chest protection incorporated within the suit or worn separately during practice and race sessions at all ACU events. It is advised that all riders and passengers should wear a body belt/kidney protector.
