- Additional Information:Endurokid-Uk Brechfa Youth EnduroACU British Youth Timecard EnduroOpen Welsh Youth Timecard EnduroOrganised by ENDUROKID-UK / Dyfed Dirt Bike ClubSaturday, August 5th, 2023@Brynllywelyn farm near Lampeter, West Wales. Post Code: SA39 9ED***********************************************************************What is it?EnduroKid UK is an exciting new Timecard Enduro Championship for Youth riders ranging from 8 years of age to 16 years of age.The event is based on the European model of Youth Enduro Riding and is run under the ACU which is the main governing body for motorsport in this country. This event will be both groundbreaking and innovative in this country with the primary focus being on bringing the sport of Timecard Enduros to the younger generation of riders in the UK in a safe, enjoyable, relaxed environment. How does it work?Riders will start in class order at a given time and will be escorted safely around the course in small groups by our experienced adult outriders. It will be a one-check lap meaning that the only time check will be located at the Start/Finish area. All riders will be given ample time to complete each lap and will return to their parents in the paddock before clocking in at the check. This will allow for parents to assist their young riders in clocking in at the check at their given time.Check timing will be done electronically (as they do in European Youth Enduros) therefore the young riders will not have to carry a timecard with them.Special TestAt the end of each lap and before returning to the paddock, all competitors will ride a special test. The test will be timed electronically to the nearest 1000th of a second. Before entering the special test parents will be able to check on their riders (hydrate, check bike, etc) as they enter the 'Test Waiting Zone'.Riders will then be guided into the test by their adult outriders in class order, one at a time. There will be no mixed age/capacity classes riding the special test at the same time. After completing the test riders will be escorted back to their parents in the main paddock where they will enjoy a good rest, hydrate, have something to eat and refuel both bikes and themselves before clocking in at the check ready for the next lap.Track and TerrainThe event is held on private farmland and woodland with tracks that are suitable for young riders including novice and inexperienced riders. The event will start at 10am and will run all day at a very relaxed pace to allow riders and parents to acclimatise with the format and enjoy themselves at the same time. For the older 125cc riders the length of the lap will be 10 miles. 85cc and 65cc riders will ride a shortened lap (approx 7 miles and 5 miles) with deviations on route to avoid the more technically challenging terrain facing the older riders. Our experienced adult outriders will ensure that all of their group riders are on the correct route and will guide and look after every rider to make sure that they complete their laps safely and enjoy themselves to the full.SafetyThe event is planned meticulously with rider safety in mind. Our experienced adult outriders will guide and look after every rider to make sure that they complete their laps safely and enjoy themselves to the full.Event timings ensures that our younger riders will not come across any of our older riders on route and will not therefore be intimidated by older riders on bigger machines wanting to pass them.Number of laps for each class will be decided upon nearer to the event but older 125cc riders can expect to be riding between 5 and 8 laps during the day.
