JURISDICTION The meeting will be held under the National Sporting Code and Motocross Standing Regulations of the A.C.U. 2018 edition. LICENCES For National competitions, entrants, riders and passengers must hold a current competition licence for International or National events issued by the Auto Cycle Union, Scottish Auto Cycle Union or any FMN. For all competitions of below National status, a current competition licence is required. Day Licences. A One Event Competition Licence grants the same benefits of an annual licence for the duration of one event only and is available for Motocross, Supercross, Beachcross or Mini Bike events up to and including National status. Riders in possession of a Motocross Dual (youth open/adult MX) licence may compete in either Youth or Adult motocross events. Riders must choose the class at the time of entry as it is not permitted to compete on both Youth and adults races at one meeting. (This is not applicable to Supercross). All the class in 2018 will hold the title of ACU BRITISH PREMIER CUP AGE ON 1st January AUTO 50 cc from 6 to 8 years of age Juniors 65 cc from 7 to 10 years of age SW 85 85cc 2st or max 150 4st from 9 to 12 years of age BW 85 85cc 2st or max 150 4st from 11 to 15 years of age Youth 125/2st from 13 to 17 years of age The classes below are open to adults riders. You need to be at least 15 years of age on the 1st of January 2018 to compete in this class, and you will also need to obtain a dual licence from the ACU. MX2 LIGTH 150 CC MIN 2 STROKE TO 250f MAX (max 21 years of age) Wolves Clubman Open 150cc min 2 stroke to 450F max Clubman 0pen 150cc min 2 stroke to 450f max The Championship Conditions, these Supplementary Regulations and any further instructions issued or Official announcement is made by PA system on the day. Start Gate The start will be a clutch start with engine running. Once a rider has taken his position at the start gate he cannot change. A rider is deemed to be under starter’s orders having been called to the start line, the starter will hold up a green flag, from which moment the riders are under his control, until all riders are on the start line. When all riders are on the start line, the starter will hold up a 15 second board for a full 15 seconds. At the end of the 15 seconds, he will hold up a 5 seconds board and the gate will drop between 5 and 10 seconds after the 5 second board is shown. No one except riders and officials shall be permitted to the area of the start gate. Riders are allowed to groom the area behind the start gate only, provided no tools are used or outside assistance provided. False Starts False starts will be indicated by a waved red flag. All riders must go back to their position in the waiting zone and await further instructions. Stopping a Race Conditions for stopping practice or a race are as per ACU handbook (Race Management Section 9.9) Finish of the Race The chequered flag will be displayed as the winner crosses the finish line and will be kept flying until the last rider crosses the finish line. Work and Signalling Area A work area will be provided for mechanics and team members. A timing screen will be made available. Mechanics will be able to make adjustments or repairs during qualification / races. Outside Assistance If during a race a rider receives outside assistance other than provided by the organiser for the removal of himself or his machine from the course in the interest of safety, that rider may be disqualified. Classification The rider with the highest number of points in each class will be declared the winner of each respective race round. Riders must complete at least 75% of the distance of the winner and pass the chequered flag to be classed as a finisher. Results / Final Standings In each class, the winner of the British CUP Championship meeting is the rider who has obtained the most points; the runner-up will be the rider who has obtained the second best number of points, and so on, irrespective of the number of races they have finished. In case of ties, the number of better places will be taken into account. If a tie exists, the points scored in the last race counting towards the Championship meeting will determine the order of placing in the final standings of the meeting of those riders who scored points. Protests Protests must be lodged according to the ACU National Sporting Code and must be accompanied by a fee of £50.00. Protests must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the result being published. FLAGS Flags rules are complied with the ACU 2018 regulations NUMBER OF RIDERS ALLOWED Solo Races: 40 + 5 reserve As per the 2018 Championship Regulations/conditions. ENTRIES As per the 2018 Championship Regulations/conditions INSURANCE The insurance cover for this event will be Basic (limit of liability 10M pounds) (as selected by the organiser and indicated on the Permit Application for this event). Medical Malpractice insurance (limit of liability 5M pounds) is included. There is no personal accident insurance for competitors. Competitors are therefore recommended to purchase such cover which is available through the Locktons website (www.locktonmotorsport.com) or the ACU website (www.acu.org.uk). TECHNICAL CONTROL Technical control will take place at each round as follows: Friday evening 6.00pm -8.30pm Saturday morning 7.00am- 8.00am Riders are required to produce their machines to Technical control / when more than one motorcycle is entered they must be presented to Technical Control at the same time,bout machine need to have the championship number board (unless you are a wild card )fail to do so you will be fail scrutineers and NOT scoring point if you enter the track with out the official number board No competitor will be permitted to practice or race unless the Technical Official has passed clothing and machine. Random scrutinising will take place during the weekend. Noise Testing and engine Measuring may be carried out during the meeting at the discretion of the clerk of the course, or promoter. Any rider wanting to Noise Test his bike at any time may go along to the designated area where an official will be in attendance. NUMBER BOARDS You will be required, as a registered rider, to have your championship number board on your race bike (spare bike can have another board for scrutineer only) failure to do so you will fail scrutineering. Fire Extinguishers must be presented at scrutineering. SOUND CONTROL As per 2018 ACU Handbook Motocross Standard Regulations section 7, Technical control number 7. PRACTICE & Qualifying Saturday morning Only As per the 2018 Championship regulations/conditions Autos 10 min 65 cc 10 min SW / BW 10 min 125 cc youth 10 min MX 2 Lite Open 10 min British Clubman & Wolves Clubman 10 min Sunday morning 3 practices lap prior to the first block of race will be allowed to all riders this is compulsory RACES The number of races will be 5 for all class at each round (3 Saturday, 2 Sunday) plus practice and qualifying, with exception for the first and last round. 1st round you will have 2 races on Saturday and 2 races on Sunday on the first round Last round will be 3 races on Saturday and one on Sunday due to the end of year presentation. Sign on The time will be the same as listed below for every event during 2017 season, unless stated different on the weekend program given, or announced prior via Internet notifications by the promoters. Friday 6pm till 7.30pm Saturday morning 7am till 8am prompt Please bring at sign on your licence and transponder at each round. Failure to do so you will not be allowed to sign on so you will not be allowed to ride unless you take a day licence and hire a transponder on the day. Saturday Start 9am practice Sunday Start 9am practice Riders Briefing (not auto class ) 8.30am at the start line on Saturday only. (Subject to change) Auto briefing by sign on office both days at 8.30am, if you do not attend the briefing your rider will not be allowed to ride. TROPHIES Trophies will be awarded as follows in each of the 6 rounds: Auto top 10 Juniors 65 top 10 SW & BW top 6 MX2 Ligth top 4 Juniors top 4 Exspert outh 125 cc top 6 Clubman & Wolves MX1 top 4 MX2 top 4 Last round & end of year Presentation All riders will need to compete in 5 of the 6 rounds to qualify for the end of year trophy. Presentation will be three two after last race of the day. All youth class’ will receive a trophy (auto-junior – SW -BW – ) Top 20 Youth 125cc Top 10 in each group Clubman British MX1 & MX2 & Wolves CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS Championship point are calculated as follow 1st 45 points 2nd 43 points 3rd 41 points 4th 39 point 5th 37 point 6th 35 point From 7 position (included ) 7th 34 point 8th 33 point 9th 32 point and so on NO dropping Races in 2018 all race are to be scored FUEL All fuel used during an event must comply with 2016 ACU Fuel Regulations. 4 CHAMPIONSHIP NUMBER BOARD You will be given a front Number Board, but as a registered rider you will need to use this board on your bike. Failing to do so will result in your points being deducted at the end of each race. We will be monitoring this rule in 2018, as in previous years we have been too lenient. PIT BOX No riders of any age, personnel under 18 years of age, prams, dogs (except guide dogs) or ladies that are pregnant are allowed in the PIT BOX at any time during racing. SCRUTINEER You will need to scrutineer your bike at each round on Friday or Saturday morning only. PADDOCK BIKES The riding of any motorcycle in the paddock is strictly forbidden £50.00 fined will be issue to rider tath do so, If you have any special needs that you require a bike/quad let the secretary know and she will issue you with a pass. REFUND POLICY Any rider injured needs to notify the office and send a doctor note / hospital certificate no later than 15 days prior to the next race (Saturday race day date) to be considered for a refund, any notifications after this will not be considered For a full refund for the championship ,in case of injury,or any other unforeseen circumstances on behalf of rider or LSMX promotions this will be honoured no later than 60 day from the communication of withdraw of any party upon writing notification to the promoter or to a rider . RESERVE RIDERS Each class are allowed up to 5 reserve riders as per the 2018 Championship Regulations/conditions. Reserve riders will be notified the day after the entry deadline for the round. Any of the registered riders who have not paid 20 days prior an event will forfeit their space to a reserve rider. GENERATORS /RUBBISH All generators will be need to be off by 10.30 pm, please displace your weekend rubbish in the skip provided by the promoter. Clear your mess before you leave the paddock please. Dogs -Fires All dogs must be kept on the lead at all times. Fires will not be allowed in any venue unless are contained and above ground. PHOTOGRAPHY No one is authorised to go track side, in any venue without requested permission, sign on. All rights for the image and filming for the event are the property of the promoter LSMX PROMOTION LTD only, and are not be published or sold to a third party to gain profit, unless agreed with the promoters. It is illegal to do so and they will be prosecuted by the law. We look forward to seeing you RULES In Pin POINT ALL RIDERS & AUTO PARENTS PLEASE READ BELOW 1. DO NOT ABUSE THE STAFF OR OFFICIALS AT THE EVENTS! If you are caught doing so or any member of your entourage you will be reported to the ACU OFFICIALS. This could result in a a penalty being given to YOU, or even being asked to leave the site. 2. Championship number board will need to be on your bike at scrutineering. Failure to do so you will mean you Fail scrutineering. If you choose not to use the championship number board in any races you will NOT score points in that particular race as you will be scored as a WILD CARD. In 2017 we will be monitoring this at each round, please be aware as a second warning will NOT be issued. 3. Do not enter the track during racing unless a) given permission by the clerk of the course to do so, b) signing the disclaimer documentation in our site office, c) and wearing a high vis vest. 4. Pit boarding is only allowed in the mechanics area provided, nowhere else around the track. No under 16 years of age, no dogs ,prams, or push bikes are allowed in that area. 5. ZERO TOLERANCE TO RIDING IN THE PADDOCK FOR ALL! If you get found out riding in the paddock you will be penalised accordingly by the ACU Rule and regulations. 1. Bring your transponder and ACU licence to signing on at each round. Failure to do so means you will be required to take a day licence at a cost off £15.00. 2. Auto parents MUST attend the briefing both days at 8.30am Saturday & Sunday. Failing to do so will result in your rider not being allowed to ride. Each rider will need to supply a pick up person each day, unless medically proven that the person cannot be track side. 3. All riders (65cc/85cc/125cc/MX†Ligth Clubman,Wolves) MUST attend the briefing on Saturday morning at 8.30am by the start gate under ACU regulations. 4. No one is allowed to go trackside, apart from Auto pick ups but only if they have signed on and attended the briefing in the morning, plus be wearing the official HI VIS vest. 5. Hi Vis vests for AUTO pick ups will be provided by LS MX Promotions. A deposit of £ 5.00 will be required on the day, which will be refunded to you at the end of the weekend on return our HI VIS vest. 6. No engine can be started prior to 8.30am in morning, and silenced no later than 7.30pm. 7.Wild Cards will score points only on the weekend overall. The registered riders will then be rescored separately on MY LAPS the Monday after the weekend taking out the WC riders, to give the correct positions without wild card riders. 8. If you have not PAID in full before the first round of the championship you will not be able to enter the championship as a registered rider after the sign on is closed in the morning of the first round itself as some try to do in 2016. We can take up to 40 rider for each class +5 reserve that will be nominated before the first round. ALL the points above will be imposed and enforced from Round one in 2018. ACU officials will be in charge of all racing, rules & regulations of the events, LS MX PROMOTIONS will NOT and CANNOT overrule the ACU Officials decision on the day, please refrain from shouting at LS MX Promotions staff, this might cause you more issue. Riders be warned, YOU are responsible for your entourage (people or family members that come with you at the weekend) so make sure they obey all rules and regulations, as they are put in place for everyone’s safety. If your entourage will not follow the rules ACU Officials will give you a penalty, so you will pay the consequences for their actions, without prejudice of your age, position in championship or class that you are riding.
