1 Jurisdiction: The meeting will be held under the National Sporting Code and Motocross Standing Regulations of the ACU 2024 edition, these supplementary regulations and any further instructions issued or official announcements made.
2 Insurance: Insurance cover for this event is Basic there is no personal accident cover for competitors and liability cover in respect of any claim made by third parties is limited to £10 million. Competitors are recommended to purchase such cover though the ACU.

5 Eligibility: Riders holding a current ACU licence and or a One event licence . Machines: as per 2024 ACU handbook. Each category has specified age restrictions and skill level guidance. Riders who finished top 3 in either a novice class or intermediate class in the 2024 ACU British Vets Championship must move up a skill level for 2025. eg if Novice previously then they must move to intermediate or if intermediate previously they must move to championship class. If a rider who has been moved up a skill level class previously , they may move back down if they wish as long as they finished outside of the top 15 in their class in the 2024 ACU British Vets Championships event.

6 Course:
Drop gate start with live engine, clutch type on undulating land 1.8km lap distance. Once a rider has taken his position at the start gate, he cannot change it. A rider is deemed to be under starters orders having been called to the start line, the starter will hold up a green flag from which moment the riders are under his control, until all riders are on the start line. When all the riders are on the start line, the starter will hold up a 15 second board for a full 15 seconds. At the end of the 15 seconds, he will hold up a 5 seconds board and the gate will drop between 5 and 10 seconds after the 5 second Board is shown. No one except RIDERS and OFFICIALS shall be permitted to the area of the starting gate.
Some races will have 2 classes racing at the same time with each class having its own gate drop. The first class will take starters orders and start their race as described above. The second class of riders will line up behind the start area ready to take up their position on the start gate. Once group one has gone they move into position and take their starters orders 20 seconds after the gate has dropped for the first class. Each class is scored separately with the race distance being the same for each class. (5 laps)
Riders must complete 1 lap to be classed as a finisher.
For the ACU British Vets Championships classes all races will count towards the total points score which will determine the championship positions.
For the EVO Championship classes each Round will be scored separately. Round 1 will be on day one and the points from the 2 races will be totalled up to decide the results for Round 1. Round 2 will be on day two and the points from the 2 races on this day will be totalled up to decide the results for Round 2
Points will be awarded in the following order for positions 1 to 40

If a tie occurs on points scored , it will be resolved on the highest place in the last race. If this fails to decide a tie it will then be decided by the highest place in the second to last race
If a meeting is stopped or abandoned for reasons of safety or force majeure, every race completed will count towards the championship results.
7 Entries:
Open on Go Race booking platform: 26/1/25@ 20.00. Entry fee is £125 for the 2 day event plus any additional costs for one event licences (£20) and Transponder hire (£25)
Entries close 10/06/24 @ 18:00.
The club reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving a reason.
ACU/ One Event licence must be shown at signing on along with ID to prove your age.
8 Classes:4 ACU British VET Championship classes
+30 ( riders age 30 and over)
+40 ( riders between the age 40 and over)
+50 (riders between the ages of 50 and over)
+60 (riders over the age of 60)
there will be the following support classes
+30 Novice (for riders aged of 30 and over)
+30 Inter (riders aged of 30 and over)
+40 Novice (riders aged 40 and over)
+40 Inter (riders aged 40 and over)
+50 Novice (riders aged 50 and over)
+50 Inter (riders aged 50 and over)
+60 Inter (riders aged 60 and over)
It is down to each rider to choose which skill level class is best suited for them. (eg Novice, Intermediate or Championship) The Top 3 finishers over all in the Novice and Intermediate classes for each age group will have to move up a class for the following year. Eg a Top 3 novice rider would have to move to intermediate group for 2026
In addition to the ACU British Vets Championship Classes the event will also host rounds 1 & 2 of the British EVO Championships. Rounds 3 & 4 will take place at the Apico 2 Stroke Festival in August at Sellinge MX track.
Classes for the ACU British EVO championship will be as follows;
EVO for bikes aged between 1980 - 1989 (riders aged 25 and above)
Super EVO for bikes aged between 1990 and 1999 (riders aged 25 and above)
** Age of the person is defined as of 13th June 2025
9 Prizes – Trophies for Top 6 in each Class
10 Practice/Races:
09:30 First groups head to assembly area
10:00 -1st Qualifying Practice starts – 5 laps
Each British Vets Championships event class will have 1 qualifying practice and 5 races across the 2 days.
Each round of the British EVO Championships class will have 1 qualifying practice and 2 races (so 2 qualifying practice and 4 races across the weekend as round 1 is saturday and round 2 is sunday)
You can only enter and race in one of the British VET classes but if you also want to enter a British EVO class you can.
11 Timekeeping:
Transponders are required: All machines to be fitted with speedhive compatible transponder. Transponders can be hired for £25 for the weekend. (a deposit of £20 will be required on top of the hire fee, a fine of £250 will be enforced if the transponder is not returned on time)
12 General:

No riding in the paddock of any kind will be tolerated unless in specified rider lanes.
It is compulsory that riders/passengers wear, as a minimum, back and chest protectors.
It is advised that all riders and passengers should wear a body belt/kidney protector
Flag Signals as per ACU guidelines please note Yellow Wave, great danger prepares to stop, no overtaking. A significant reduction in speed must be seen, jumps should not be attempted.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times
12 Technical Control:
Competitors are required to produce their machines to Technical Control. No one is permitted to practice or race unless the Technical Official has passed clothing (helmet) and machine.
13 Refund Policy:
Refund given for cancellations within 31 days of the event. After this no refunds will be given for any reason.
14 No bike engines to be running between 18.00 – 09.30
Paddock silence from 23:00
15 Camping
We allow camping at the event for racers only as there is limited parkign space. The venue does not have access to drinking water so please bring your own, there will be a toilet waste unit for you to empty your toilet waste and a skip for any rubbish. Please keep any children well supervised. Any anti social behaviour will result in connected riders being excluded from the event.
